ROH Ballet

A concept campaign designed to challenge perceptions of ballet among younger audiences, repositioning it as physically demanding, dynamic and worth experiencing live. THE CHALLENGE Ballet is often perceived by younger audiences as slow, traditional and inaccessible. The campaign needed to shift this perception and present ballet as something powerful, modern and relevant. Therefore increasing footfall to live shows & increasing the longevity of ballet. MY ROLE Developed the campaign concept, art direction, and visual system across OOH and social executions. THE APPROACH Built around a simple, high-impact idea: pairing bold headlines with facts highlighting the physical intensity of ballet. A black and white visual treatment grounds the work in tradition, while bright, contrasting typography grabs eyes in busy OOH placements. Dancers interact with the typography, creating a sense of movement and reinforcing the physicality of the performance. Rolled out in relative environments across London within close proximity to the venue in areas where the audience would frequent. THE OUTCOME The result is a striking campaign that repositions ballet as intense, athletic, and culturally relevant, designed to engage younger audiences across OOH and social.
